Like Alexander Skarsgard, Henry Cavill, 34, is one of those humans who is so beautiful that he can rock a toothbrush mustache and still look like a golden god. In fact, while we fell in love with the clean-shaven appearance he sported as Superman, we came to truly love the facial hair that he first grew out for Mission: Impossible – Fallout, so much so that the Internet dubbed it "Kingstache."
But now, it's gone, as proven by a video that Cavill himself posted on Wednesday.
"Oh, hello, don't be alarmed. It's me, Henry Cavill," he says, in the tongue-in-cheek clip that is now going viral. "I know, it's hard to recognize me without Kingstache. Sometimes I even have trouble recognizing myself."
"It's hard for me to admit, this is not CGI," he joked, in reference to the truly terrible, now infamous CGI removal of his 'stache for the reshoots of Justice League.
"He's really gone. I can tell you this, though: I will remember him, always." he said, captioning the video ##ShavedButNotForgotten.
